For a few months, the Monet Experience has made Armory Studios NY (Schenectady) its home, breathing new life into the artist’s mesmerizing oeuvre. Using 360-degree projections, VR technology and other immersive activities, Monet: The Immersive Experience is a true multisensory exhibit that transports you to Monet’s beloved Giverny gardens. Presenting the impressionist’s paintings using state-of-the-art technology, the adventure is the perfect opportunity to (re)discover the works of one of history’s most talented creators.
As all good things, the experience is now coming to an end on February 3, and you’re gonna want to check it out before it leaves Schenectady for good.
👨🎨 Don’t miss the chance to visit Monet: The Immersive Experience at Armory Studios NY in Schenectady!
Get ready for a multisensory spectacle that’s unlike the art exhibit you’ve previously experienced. While you’ll learn about Monet’s life story and inspirations in a walk-through format, you’ll be plunged inside his paintings as you enter the projection room. Monet’s incredible Water Lilies and Springtime awaken, among other pieces, dancing around the floors, ceilings and walls of Armory Studios NY. This new way of presenting art allows you to notice every brushstroke and detail of Monet’s work.
The experience has toured in cities around the globe, from London to Barcelona, making strides within the US as well — in places like Cincinnati and Atlanta. After those successful stops, Monet: The Immersive Experience is now open in Schenectady for a limited time.
During the VR portion of the experience, you’ll get to experience what it’s like to step in Monet’s shoes at the iconic gardens of Giverny. For a small add-on price, witness nature take over your surroundings — from wildflowers to chipping birds. The nature Claude Monet adored unveils itself to us in unpredicted ways and you do not want to miss it.
