Music is the closest thing to magic: it generates emotions, it can activate serotonin, there are melodies that can awaken memories or emotions that were asleep… and it can even function as a time capsule. This is what will be happening in Alicante with the Rewind concert series, five live shows designed to revive the soundtrack of a lifetime. An emotional journey guided by tribute bands for which you can find tickets here.
These concerts are a tribute to our collective musical memory, in an intimate format that revives pop, rock, and disco mega hits (to fill the dance floor) from recent decades. The goal? To sing. To dance. To shout the timeless choruses of iconic bands once again. Each concert in this series features opening acts and a main show. The music never stops. And, of course, a contagious atmosphere of collective excitement is generated, with an audience devoted to singing and dancing. And also, different accommodation options.
Added to all this is a dining offering consisting of different street food snacks and drinks. Not surprisingly, Rewind is a project by and for live music created by promoter Casey Shaddock, who brings to the table more than 40 years of experience organizing gigs in the United States and Europe. What can be said about Paul McCartney that isn’t already known? From his time with The Beatles and Wings to his solo hits, he is one of the most important figures in the living history of music. This tribute concert will feature songs such as Hey Jude, Live and Let Die, and Band on the Run.

Funk, soul, disco… come and shake it! This session is inspired by the musical universe of Nile Rodgers (hence the title of the concert, one of the songs—surely the most famous—by the American musician and co-founder of Chic). Obviously, this smash hit will be included, along with others such as Everybody Dance and Le Freak, and artists such as David Bowie, the eternal Diana Ross, and Daft Punk will be honored.

The song Dreams, released in the 1970s on Fleetwood Mac’s album Rumours, has been revived in a way no one could have ever imagined, thanks to TikTok. For those of us who have been listening to the band for years, this viral phenomenon is a well-deserved reward. Now, the tribute band Fleetwood Bac will recreate the band’s stage atmosphere and harmonies in an iconic session. A band that faithfully reproduces the classic lineup of the iconic album.

Festivals are also an Autumn thing. This is demonstrated by this event, which will bring together local bands such as Bad Compañía, The Cap Band, The Cages, and Finn Lizzy at Big Top, Alicante’s Recinto Multiusos, as well as a tribute to The Cranberries and the much-missed Dolores O’Riordan (always in our hearts, always in their songs) by The Lizberries, Europe’s number one tribute band to the Irish rockers.

Alicante will host the greatest live tribute to the Electric Light Orchestra and the creative genius that is Jeff Lynne. There will be powerful, enveloping strings, amazing vocal harmonies… and, of course, rock energy with that symphonic essence. Who will dare to pay tribute to ELO? A group made up of some of the best professional musicians in the United Kingdom who share a love for the band. A mix of virtuosity and admiration for Electric Light Orchestra that will be shown when songs such as Evil Woman, Telephone Line, Last Train to London, Rockaria, Don’t Bring Me Down, Mr. Blue Sky… are played.
