The broad music selection, from classical greats to contemporary icons, combined with the atmosphere created by its trademark sea of candles is hard to beat, which is why the city’s first Candlelight concerts have all sold out.

The Guildhall in Bath: in the heart of the city
Famous film scores by Hans Zimmer as well as Queen’s biggest hits are being brought to life at the Guildhall in the beautiful city of Bath. You’ll find this impressive venue near the Abbey, Pump Room, and Roman Baths. With its Georgian interior, grand staircase, and breathtaking Parade Gardens overlooking the River Avon and Pulteney Bridge, the Grade I listed building is an idyllic setting for an awe-inspiring Candlelight concert.

Candlelight: Hans Zimmer’s Best Works
As one of the most well-known film composers in history, Hans Zimmer certainly needs no introduction. Over his 50-year-long career, the genius has composed scores for over 150 films and has multiple Academy Awards and Grammys to his name. A talented string quartet will be performing compositions heard in iconic movies including The Lion King, Inception, The Holiday and Pirates of the Caribbean inside the Guildhall as it bathes in the relaxing glow of candlelight.
After spreading its magic to cities all around the world including London, Paris and New York, Candlelight is heading to Bath to enchant audiences with stunning live music and the magical flicker of hundreds of candles. The beautiful Guildhall will be hosting mesmerising tributes to Hans Zimmer and Queen for concertgoers to enjoy classical music in a whole new light.
These candlelit concerts make for the perfect summer plan to experience with your nearest and dearest or all on your own. The Candlelight series takes place twice each night with two back-to-back 60 minute performances and doors open 45 minutes prior to the concert start time.
