This immersive live music experience brings the sound and soul of jazz to Cork like never before, capturing the spirit of its birthplace, New Orleans, right in the heart of the city at The Pav.
What is The Jazz Room?
The Jazz Room is a 60-minute performance featuring a mix of classic jazz and swing favourites, from Ain’t Misbehavin’ to Cantaloupe Island, enriched with spontaneous solos by a leading local jazz ensemble. It delivers a slice of jazz history, transporting the audience to the lively atmosphere of New Orleans street-style bars with dim lights, smoky vocals, and swinging bass. On top of that, guests can sip a drink while soaking in the soulful melodies and silky smooth saxophone tunes.

Emerging from the heart of New Orleans in the early 20th century, jazz took shape as a blend of African rhythms and music, ragtime, and blues. The Jazz Room honours the great legacy of the genre with a curated setlist, featuring tributes to Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller and Louis Prima, to name a few. The result is a show that connects past and present while celebrating jazz’s enduring spirit of improvisation.
