October brings many reasons to be scared in Durham, NC. For one, the city has a fair share of creepy ghost stories revolving around the woods in Eno, where the remains of mills, homesteads and graveyards of families from the 18th and 19th century are found. On a greater scope, the Triangle is also not short of terrifying stories of the supernatural dating back to the Civil War. Nevertheless, perhaps creepier than all, there’s a new chilling Candlelight concert bringing more mystery and terror to the culturally significant Hayti Heritage Center this Halloween.
Add a new plan to your spooky season activities and embrace the darkness on the most horrific day of the year. As you sit amid a sea of candles that twinkle and shine, a group of talented musicians will play powerful Halloween classics like the theme from Suspiria, Psycho and The Shape of Water. You’ll have a spooky good time!
