Scary stories have been a staple of the spooky season for centuries. They’re always full of mystery and manage to instill fear in us no matter how old we are. In the same way that these tales of terror can scare us stiff, the scores in our favorite horror movies never fail to give us a fright, and they help tell the most horrifying of stories. This October, Candlelight is paying homage to these scary soundtracks at this bewitching candlelit concert.
As candles flicker, a string quartet will be working their magic on the scores heard in Ghostbusters, Psycho and many more movies as well as the likes of “Thriller” and “Funeral March of a Marionette.” Find your seat inside Music & Arts Community Center and get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, light and terror.
Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics
This Halloween, Candlelight invites you to relive some of the most terrifying scenes in cinematic history. As you hear “Tubular Bells” from The Exorcist, you’ll be transported to that hauntingly chilling bedroom scene. And once the unnerving sounds from the Halloween soundtrack flood through this eerie candlelit setting, you’ll be taken right back to Haddonfield and feel all the fear of the terror-stricken residents all over again. Expect to be entranced by the menacing melodies of music performed on strings while thousands of candles twinkle and glimmer around you.
Looking for a new way to celebrate the spooky season in style? Head over to Music & Arts Community Center this October to experience an enchanting evening that’s set to be as frightening as a haunted house on Halloween.
They’ll be two performances on the evening, with the first concert starting at 6pm and the later one at 8:30pm. Each concert lasts 60 minutes and doors close 45 minutes prior to the start time.
