And to celebrate the tradition, this series of Candlelight Halloween concerts in Grand Rapids is enchanting the city with live music and light. Fall under the spell of iconic horror film scores and other scary songs at this bewitching candlelit concert dedicated to the season of magic and fear.
Think of the haunting melodies of “Funeral March of a Marionette” by Charles Gounod or the themes from Ghostbusters, Halloween and Psycho. They’re immediately recognizable because they make the hairs on the back of our necks stand up. But most importantly, they’re beautifully composed to evoke emotions of uneasiness and terror. Taking place at The Wealthy Theatre, a historic spot with quite a few stories to tell in its own right, listen to classical takes on these famous melodies as you’re surrounded by thousands of gleaming candles.

“They’re altogether ooky” and they’re all coming to haunt the historic Wealthy Theatre this Halloween. Performed by the talented musicians of KalHaven String Quartet, get ready to be enchanted (and maybe also frightened) as you sit amid a sea of twinkling candles.
The mesmerizing Candlelight Halloween special has received great success in cities all over the world with its unique take on iconic Halloween songs. This season, it’s bringing its signature sea of candles and beloved spooky season melodies to Grand Rapids with a special concert that promises to enchant horror fanatics and music lovers alike.
There are two performances scheduled, at 6:00 pm and 8:45 pm and the concert typically lasts 60 minutes. Doors will open 45 minutes prior to the start time, giving you plenty of time to snap a few pictures of the stunning location and find your seats.
