While it has been over a century and a half since Edgar Allan Poe graced us with a work of detective fiction or gothic horror, his legacy lives on. Within the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, Poe historians will retell four of his most famous stories with a modern twist. The chilling tales feature classics such as The Tell-Tale Heart and The Black Cat
The speakeasy has taken up residence at the Meyer Theatre near Lady Bird Lake. Originally constructed in 1930, the Art Deco and Spanish Colonial Revival-style venue boasts gilded accents, statues, and other ornate details.
Guests will enjoy a 90-minute interactive show as they sip on four complimentary cocktails. Tickets start at $55 and are available to those ages 21 and up.
