While it has been over a century and a half since Edgar Allan Poe graced us with a work of detective fiction or gothic horror, his legacy lives on. Within the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, Poe historians will retell four of his most famous stories with a modern twist. The chilling tales feature favorites like The Tell-Tale Heart and Masque of Red Death.
The captivating speakeasy has taken up residence at the historic Castle McCulloch just outside of Greensboro. Originally built in 1832, the stunning venue is surrounded by 60 acres of wooded grounds. Plus, it is nearly as old as Edgar Allan Poe himself!
Guests will enjoy a 90-minute interactive show as they sip on four complimentary cocktails. Tickets start at $55 and are available to those ages 21 and up.
