The popular Candlelight concert series is flowering into the new season with Candlelight Spring, a new set of concerts ringing in the blissful season. As nature awakens from the winter slumber, gone are the chilly Canadian days and the city becomes vibrant with colour once again. Finally, we can rejoice with the warmer and longer days ahead.
What is Candlelight Spring?
Winter’s icy grip has started to loosen, so Candlelight is combining the mesmerising beauty of thousands of candles with the lushness of blooming meadows. With abounding faux flowers and the flickering light of an ocean of LED candles, the concert series is singing praises to the rebirth of spring. These new tributes are set to take place at some of the most iconic venues in the city, known for their cultural significance and history.
That’s right – delicate blossoms and countless candles will adorn some of the city’s most gorgeous venues painting the stages with hues of pink, white, yellow, lavender and orange. Brought together by a field of green grasses, they are beautifully arranged on stage to recreate a lush and flourishing landscape. Each concert is a celebration of springtime, as we herald the return of warmth and light and the air is alive with timeless melodies.
The vibrant Candlelight Spring concerts will pay homage to some of the most successful artists in the world, from the pop and rock to the classical genre. With such a diverse repertoire, you’re bound to find something that resonates with your interests.
Each Candlelight Spring performance typically last 60-65 minutes. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of every concert, giving you plenty of time to marvel at the beauty of the stage and snap a few pictures for your next Instagram post.
