Like the story itself, the film’s songs are timeless because unlike many musicals of its time, they become part of the characters’ emotional landscape. Whether it’s “We’re Off to See the Wizard” that sets Dorothy off on her journey or the wishful “If I Only Had a Brain” sung by the Scarecrow, each song advances the plot and reveals the characters’ deepest wishes.
This season, Candlelight invites every dreamer and music lover in Hamilton to an unforgettable classical celebration of The Wizard of Oz, where a talented string quartet breathes new life into cherished songs like “Over the Rainbow” and “Follow the Yellow Brick Road”. Surrounded by thousands of candles, this performance will sweep you back to a place where wonder still shines bright.
