Ballet of Lights in Limerick: Which story is being performed now?
Each Ballet of Lights experience runs approximately 60 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 5 and up. Performances rotate between classic fairytales, with new tales arriving and old favorites returning.
Sleeping Beauty
This timeless story has deep roots, beginning with the French narrative Perceforest (1330–1344), followed by the Catalan poem ‘Frayre de Joy e Sor de Paser’. Charles Perrault’s The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood and the Brothers Grimm’s Little Briar Rose carried the tale into popular imagination, while Robinson Planché and Richard Doyle’s 1865 version solidified it for generations.
