Brownsville’s Candlelight concerts are back with pop tributes, Christmas music and more

Candlelight concerts in the Lower Rio Grande Valley continue to shine, with new classical music tributes introduced each season that reflect the region’s rhythmic pulse and rich cross-cultural heritage. Audiences can enjoy beloved programs featuring the soulful songs of Adele, the iconic soundscapes of Coldplay, and the timeless brilliance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Set beneath a warm glow of candlelight, these enchanting performances offer yet another unforgettable way to experience live music in the Valley.

The Historic Alonso Building gives a Candlelight concert a distinctly local setting, with its historic surroundings adding character to the evening. There’s something especially fitting about hearing modern favourites reimagined on strings inside a building with so much history. As the candles light up the space, the familiar songs become part of a completely different kind of night out.
