Calm your mind and experience classical and holiday-themed music in a new light with these sensational concerts in some of Milwaukee’s most magical locations. Coming in December, this concert series known simply as “Candlelight” invites everyone to relive some of the greatest works of music, from Vivaldi to Tchaikovsky in an intimate and unique atmosphere.
And after having enormous success around the world—in cities like Paris, Barcelona, and New York—the experience is finally here in Milwaukee, featuring the historic Calvary Presbyterian Church and The Abbey at St. James.
Probably the oldest stone church remaining in Milwaukee, The Abbey is a true town jewel. The elegant venue makes for the perfect Candlelight location, with its breathtaking original Tiffany stained-glass windows, 15th century hand-carved monastery panels and antique chandeliers that continue to amaze those who enter its doors.
On December 15, the gorgeous location will host a holiday special featuring “The Nutcracker” and more. Listen to revisited classics like ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’, ‘The First Noël’, ‘Deck the Halls’ and ‘O Holy Night’ performed by the beloved Listeso String Quartet, who have played at Candlelight concerts throughout the globe. And on January 12, the Candlelight venue graces us with a tribute to Taylor Swift — much to Swifties’ delight.
