Ushaw Historic House, Chapels & Gardens: a breathtaking venue in the countryside
Nestled in the beautiful countryside near central Durham, Ushaw’s Historic House, Chapels & Gardens is one of the most stunning venues in North East England. The venue’s biggest building, the Historic House, was designed by none other than Augustus Pugin – the architect responsible for drawing up the plans for Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Surrounded by beautiful gardens complete with towering trees and lush greenery, the venue offers stunning views of the grounds and is full of eclectic art, history and heritage. Hear scores from iconic films including Inception, Gladiator, The Lion King, The Holiday and more while soaking up the soothing ambience created by the magnificent architecture and the soft glow of candlelight that surrounds you.
Taking place this July, this enchanting candlelit tribute to Coldplay is set to be an “Adventure of a Lifetime.” While bathing in the light produced by hundreds of twinkling candles, a string quartet will be putting their own classical twist on the band’s most adored songs including Paradise, Fix You, Clocks and Yellow. Experience a spectacular night to remember with the help of Coldplay’s biggest hits, classically-trained musicians and the magical flicker of candlelight.
After spreading its magic to cities all around the world including London, Paris and New York, Candlelight is heading to Durham to dazzle audiences with stunning live music and the magical flicker of hundreds of candles.
