There’s a new reason to get excited about fall in Orange County: the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is returning for another weekend of literature, cocktails, and suspense from November 5 to 7. Once again, the limited-run event is set against the atmospheric backdrop of Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary.
Surrounded by historic monuments and mature shade trees, this 90-minute experience blends theater, storytelling, and craft cocktails as it walks guests through four of Poe’s best-known tales. You don’t need to be a literature buff or a cocktail connoisseur to enjoy it — just a taste for something a little different. Tickets are limited, so be sure to grab yours before spots fill up.

What to expect at Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy at the Cemetery
Poe’s stories are often built around themes of love, loss, and regret, digging into some of the darkest corners of the human mind. Here, they’re performed in a setting that fits right in with that mood. Over three nights, actors will bring four classic tales to life through live theatrical performances at Fairhaven Memorial Park & Mortuary in Orange County.
The lineup includes reimagined versions of The Tell-Tale Heart, The Black Cat, The Raven, and The Masque of the Red Death, each one paired with a cocktail (or mocktail) designed to match its dark, atmospheric tone.

Attendees must be 21 or older, and tickets start at $55. You don’t need to have attended a previous Poe Speakeasy to enjoy this one, but the limited-time nature of the event means you should snag tickets before they run out!
