Candlelight is bringing the mystery and beauty of Halloween to San Jose with a special tribute that will equally enchant you and bring forth repressed nightmares from the past.
Taking place at unique venues, you’ll listen to eerie Halloween classics like Danny Elfman’s Beetlejuice theme and medley from The Nightmare Before Christmas, or the themes from Halloween and The Exorcist. There’s nothing like hearing these chilling melodies performed by a talented string quartet, completely enveloped in the beautiful glow of candlelight.
Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics
Music in movies has the ability to enhance the emotions we feel during certain scenes and particularly in horror film, it elevates that sense of fear and discomfort. Whenever we think of iconic horror films, we immediately associate its scores to the gruesome storylines.
From the possessed melodies of The Exorcist, to the chilling “violin knife stabs” from Psycho, these haunted tunes bring forth iconic and traumatic scenes that have redefined the film genre. This spooky season, swap out the same-old trick or treating for a spellbinding Candlelight concert at the Hammer Theatre Center that promises to be both unnerving and unforgettable.
