After having enormous success around the world—in cities like London, Miami, Madrid, and Toronto—Candlelight brings its unique experience to Saskatoon. This original event pays tribute to some of the greatest music of all time, from works by timeless composers to chart-topping hits by modern-day icons. What’s more, audiences are reintroduced to legendary works surrounded by the warm glow of hundreds of flickering candles.
The Candlelight series is kicking off it’s first season in this beautiful city with unforgettable tributes to Taylor Swift and Vivaldi at Knox United Church. “Shake it off” to classical renditions of Tay’s popular tracks or experience Vivaldi’s famous violin concertos under a new light.
Knox United Church: A Historic Venue
Not only is Candlelight known for its classical twists on music, but it is also known for its striking venues. And this fact is no different when it comes to Candlelight concerts in Saskatoon. Prepare to be enveloped by the history of a riverside church featuring Gothic arches, stained glass windows, stepped pediments, and a pipe organ built by Casavant Frères. Surrounded by a sea of candles and breathtaking architecture, familiar melodies are taken to new heights.
Candlelight Concerts in Saskatoon
Knox United Church will begin by hosting a spectacular concert featuring some of Miss Americana’s greatest tracks, from “Enchanted” to “Anti-Hero”. If you tend to follow a more classical strum, you can also savor every stunning note of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Performed by a talented string quartet, these Candlelight concerts are different from your average tribute concert.
Having dazzled audiences in over 100 cities worldwide, Candlelight has finally arrived in Saskatoon. It is an experience unlike any other, and you won’t want to miss out. The concerts have been met by countless 5-star reviews, and guests have called it “a creative, enchanting, and new concert experience.”
With two performances on each evening, one at 6:00 pm and one at 8:00 pm, you can choose a concert that suits your schedule.
Note: For the safety of our audience, all of the candlelight will be provided through flameless candles.
