While it has been over a century and a half since Edgar Allan Poe graced us with a work of detective fiction or gothic horror, his legacy lives on. Within the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, Poe historians will retell four of his most famous stories with a modern twist. The chilling tales feature classics such as The Tell-Tale Heart and The Black Cat.
The speakeasy has taken up residence at 601 Spring Event Center inside the historic George T. Bishop Building. Located in the heart of downtown Shreveport and originally constructed in the early part of the 20th Century, the venue serves as the perfect setting for this pop-up speakeasy.
Guests will enjoy a 90-minute interactive show as they sip on four complimentary cocktails. Tickets start at $55 and are available to those ages 21 and up.
