If there’s a place where you can celebrate the power of music and explore more in-depth the long history of cars, it’s the Louwman Museum. At the museum, you can find music everywhere, from the squeaking sound of a break to the roar of an engine.
And now, you can experience the relationship between cars and music in a brand-new light. Through a series of candlelit concerts featuring renowned composers, you’ll be riding Batmobiles through The Seasons.
Journey through The Season with Vivaldi
The first two composers to premiere at this incredible venue are Antonio Vivaldi and Hans Zimmer. Your first journey will be on February 3, and your driver Vivaldi. Portraying spring, summer, autumn and winter, Vivaldi’s renowned Four Seasons will take you through landscapes, and scenes will bring forth memories without the need for words.
The sweet melodies of his compositions will melt over you as the soft glow of candles surrounds you. No matter how many times you have heard this masterpiece before, it never tires and always has the capacity to astound.
Ride in the Batmobile with Hans Zimmer
From creating the acoustics of the all-new BMW i4 to giving life to Batman’s vehicles, the award-winning film composer, Hans Zimmer is no stranger to the automobile scene. Therefore, this makes him the ideal driver for our next journey.
On February 4, the music of the German composer will take the wheel and take you through some of his finest works. On this enchanting evening, you’ll be able to ride the Batmobile as you listen to music from The Dark Knight or a Defender 110 with Sherlock Holmes — there’s a car soundtrack for everyone!
Aside from holding an incredible auto collection, the Louwman Museum makes the perfect venue for a unique Candlelight performance. The building features a spacious yet intimate theatre designed after the Teatro Grande in Brescia, Italy, known as the starting point for the annual Mille Miglia car race. Its impressive platform lift for presenting cars will be the centre stage for this one-of-a-kind musical experience. Are you ready to be astonished? Well, hop on because you are in for a ride!
This 60-minute performance will feature three back-to-back shows, at 6:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 10:0 p.m., perfect for those looking for pre-dinner or post-dinner plans. Doors open 30 mins prior to the start time, giving you plenty of time to explore the museum’s mesmerising surroundings — a must!
