After winning Eurovision in 1974 with the song ‘Waterloo’, the band quickly gained worldwide fame, and we probably all know the rest of the story. Their catchy songs talk about hope and optimism, love and heartbreak, and even touch on political themes from those times; the melodies are cheerful and at times melodramatic, and the rhythms are inventive and unexpected.
