Journey through the experience of ‘Becoming Jane‘
From stepping into Goodall’s research, “meeting” the chimpanzees, ‘Becoming Jane’ offers different spaces to explore.
Step Into Gombe Stream National Park
Your journey begins in the lush, breathtaking landscapes of Tanzania’s Gombe Stream National Park. Through high-definition, immersive projection technology, you are transported directly into the rugged terrain where Jane made her world-changing discoveries.
Enter Jane’s Field Tent
Step inside a faithful recreation of Jane’s original research tent. Surrounded by the simple tools of early field research, you can imagine what it felt like to be a young scientist in the 1960s, keeping meticulous notes in a field journal under the canopy of the African forest.
Meet the Chimpanzees
Discover the fascinating world of our closest living relatives. Through interactive experiences designed around chimpanzee behavior and communication, you will see how Jane’s patient observation revealed that chimpanzees make tools, express distinct personalities, and form complex social bonds—findings that forever changed how science defines humanity.
Tanzania and beyond
